Description
WHO Classification of Tumours of Haematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissue is the third volume in the new WHO series on histological and genetic typing of human tumors. This authoritative, concise reference book covers the entire range of leukaemias and lymphomas. It offers an international standard for oncologists and pathologists and will serve as an indispensable guide for use in the design of studies monitoring response to therapy and clinical outcome. Diagnostic criteria, pathological features, and associated genetic alterations are described in a strictly disease-oriented manner. Sections on all recognized neoplasms and their variants contain new ICD-O codes, incidence, age and sex distribution, setting, clinical marks and symptoms, pathology, genetics, and predictive factors.

The book, prepared by 130 authors from 22 countries, contains extra than 1,000 color photographs, numerous magnetic resonance and ultrasound pictures, CT scans, charts, and 2,500 references.

This book is in the series commonly referred to as the "Blue Book" series.

The 2008 WHO classification for hematolymphoid neoplasms is an absolute must for every practicing hematopathologist and all general pathologists who sign out lymph nodes or bone marrows. it is a good book, but not a 5 star book for me. I wish i could give 4.5 stars. I have both Foundation Heme and this one. I would say Foundation Heme is more well-written and clear.

Please ignore the one star rating by the previous puerile reviewers who do not understand that you rate products for content and not by Amazon's service.
This is a must have reference and study book for all Hematologists and Hematopathologists in training and practice the world over. I have even have the fortune to work in the same institution as Dr. Jaffe. A welcomed update!
