Customer rating is 4 of 5  Enjoyed it   2010-09-04

This held my attention for some 'light reading' and I enjoyed the story. I personally believe that most 'romance' books have pretty predictable plots... but sometmes that's what I want to read. This book is no exception to that... but I felt that it was very well written, and I'll look for other books by this author.
thanks!!!
Customer rating is 3 of 5  This was written for the UK - so it was hard to follow at times   2010-09-02

The story was okay. I enjoyed the old English Manor where the majority of the story takes place. But I was annoyed at the way the author lept from character to character or to different scenes with no puncuation or breaks whatsoever. I found myself gonig back at times wondering what I missed. Over all, I am glad that I stuck it out and finished the book because there is a happy ending, though it should have been elaborated on.
Customer rating is 2 of 5  Well, it's free...   2010-08-27

If you're really bored, this would be an okay way to pass the time, given that it won't cost you anything. That being said, if you're looking for a really good read, you should look elsewhere. There's nothing terribly horrible about it, but it is all just so very contrived and typical of this genre. There's nothing particularly interesting or captivating about it.

But, like I said, it's free. *shrug*
Customer rating is 1 of 5  Even free...this book is terribly disappointing   2010-08-18
By B. B. Walker (Baton Rouge)
The idea of a one time fling that ends in a "wanted pregnancy" is interesting enough, however that's where the interesting ends. There is nothing I hate worse than for an author to "repeat him/herself over and over...again". How maany ways can you say the same thing! ? I suffered through to the very predictable end; skipping paragraphs and then pages at a time!
And never ventured back or missed a beat. Now that's just pitiful. I will never read another of Ms. Fielding's works. And will not recommend to my book club.
Customer rating is 1 of 5  terrible load of drivel   2010-08-14

the heroine finds herself pregnant after a one-night stand when she has unprotected sex with a creditor.
she then spends months, every thinking moment it appears at times, daydreaming about the man who got her pregnant, to the detriment one assumes of her work.
however the very fact that she finds opportunity to fantasise about him at every moment is so unbelievable that it demeans the quality of the writing which otherwise was ok.
If indeed she is a successful businesswoman and for the rest of her character to stand, her sudden volte-face when pregnant beggars belief.
BUT it also gives a false impression to any younger reader that a night of unprotected sex with a person about whom one knows very little, will eventually lead to a happy ever after outcome.

i downloaded this book looking for reading matter for my 13 year old daughter. I have since deleted this book from the available list. I would not want her to think that any of the story lines in this book were at all related to reality.
